FLOOD ALERT CINDERFORD BROOK

A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency.

Flood Alert in force: Rivers in the Forest of Dean.
Flooding is possible for: River Lyd and Cinderford Brook.

River levels are rising at the Parkend river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall.
Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is expected.
We expect flooding to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from Gloucester to Chepstow. Other locations that may be affected include Westbury and Lydney.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
